Ductless Technology Eliminates Energy Loss
Individual Zoning
Great news for older homes and homes without existing ductwork, ductless mini-split systems are a particularly good choice for you!
Each indoor unit can be operated independently.
Building ductwork for traditional central air conditioning units is a major expense and requires cutting holes in walls, floors, and ceilings, or decreasing closet space. Ductless systems only require a two- or three-inch hole just outside the wall.
A comfortable house helps everyone feel at home. Fujitsu General's multi-room systems allow you to turn each room into a temperature-controlled zone to meet the needs of both family members and friends. The systems enable you to connect 2 to 8 indoor units to a single outdoor unit. This allows you to set each indoor unit at a different temperature - meaning you can set up to 8 different temperatures as needed. OR of course, you also can have some indoor units on and others off - so you're only paying to heat and cool the rooms you're occupying.
Detailed instructions for maintenance can be found in each model's Owner's Manual.
Fujitsu General offers the world's most efficient mini-split systems – more than twice as efficient as the minimum standard set by the government. Each system allows as many as eight indoor zones to have individual thermostats, so you can choose which areas to heat or cool while bypassing unoccupied rooms. Fujitsu General mini-splits require no ductwork, so you avoid the energy losses typically associated with central forced-air systems.
In addition, they don’t require an expensive, extensive installation process. You can manage your system remotely using a smart phone, tablet or PC via the Internet to ensure optimal efficiency without sacrificing comfort. To help encourage the installation of energy efficient products, many local utility companies offer significant rebates for the purchase of a ductless mini-split system
No, Fujitsu General doesn't recommend buying our units online. The warranty becomes null and void for online purchases. Fujitsu General America has enforced a non-retail Internet Sales policy. Fujitsu General's full line of Halcyon ductless mini-split heating and cooling products specifically excludes products purchased through on-line retailers and resellers. Fujitsu General does not authorize online retail sales of any of its products. Our authorized distributors are able to operate password protected sites to sell Fujitsu General products to qualified technicians.
For over 35 years Fujitsu General has been working hard to make the world a more comfortable place. We have produced and shipped millions of air conditioning systems throughout the world, making the hottest places cool and the coolest places more comfortable.
Fujitsu General systems eliminate the need for a basement or attic-located evaporator unit and bulky ductwork by using thin copper tubing that pumps refrigerant directly to discreet wall mounted or concealed units inside. Even more remarkable, this same unit works in reverse in winter, absorbing heat from the outside air and moving it indoors to heat your home.
The result? Efficient cooling and heating for year round, whole-house comfort in most climates.
Available in numerous mix-and-match capacities and configurations, there's a Halcyon mini-split system for even the most difficult to heat and cool areas.
Copper tubing running through a small 3 to 4-inch opening in the wall or ceiling easily connects the indoor and outdoor units. Refrigerant is cycled through the lines from the outdoor condensing unit to the indoor unit, where the air is quietly distributed to the interior space.
Mount high on a wall, out of sight and do not require ductwork, increasing energy efficiency. These systems come in a variety of BTU/h sizes ranging from 7,000 (in a multi-zone configuration) up to 36,000 BTU/h and can be used as single zone or multi-zone systems.
Mounted in a ceiling or in a framed enclosure below a ceiling. They use minimal ductwork and remain very energy efficient. These models are available as single zone or multi-zone configurations ranging in size from as low as 7,000 BTU to as high as 24,000 BTU.
Extremely discreet, with only the grille showing in the ceiling. The latest fan technology is used to distribute the conditioned air evenly.
These models have a sleek modern look and are ideal for residential radiator replacements or any room with limited upper wall space. There are two different series of floor mount lines available – the RLFF line that provides heating down to -5F outdoor temperatures and the RLFFH line that provides heating down to -15F outdoor temperatures, for extremely cold climates.
